Fishing Licences

What you need before you fish in Saskatchewan, Canada

Fishing Saskatchewan CanadaIf you’re 16 or over, you must have a valid angling licence to fish in Saskatchewan. First Nations peoples may angle, bowfish and spearfish without a licence.

Licence fees depend on where you’re from (ie. resident of Saskatchewan, Canadian resident, or non-resident). They must be signed by the licence holder and they’re not transferable.

Starting 1 April 2013, anglers can obtain a Saskatchewan fishing license via the Ministry of Environment website. If you wish to order the current year’s angling licence, please call 306-787-2847 or fax 306-787-8280, or you may purchase a licence at a Ministry of Environment office. For those individuals who plan on angling prior to March 31, 2013, please be aware that licences purchased by phone are sent to you by regular mail, so you will need to allow sufficient time for delivery.
