CONSERVATION CATCH AND RELEASE
Several waters in the province, in order to sustain great fishing, have implemented a unique management style which allows a popular fishery to be protected from over-fishing. It works, judging by some of the results.
FISH ON THE FLY
Well known outdoor writer and television producer Michael Snook introduces us to the art of flyfishing. Snook explains how the technique can be used to catch everything from northern pike to walleye.
FILLETS OF BONELESSNESS
The Northern Pike, a very popular local fish, is filled with bones. Guide Jeff Matity explains how to prepare the fish for the fry pan, bone free.
FATHER WALLEYE
Our Fishing Father Mariusz Zajac, made famous by his World Record Ice Fishing Walleye Catch of 18 + pounds is profiled. But this fish was no fluke. Father Mariusz catches dozens of Monster walleyes on Tobin Lake every year and he shows us some of his techniques.
SPOONIN' EYES
Reel Em In has taught the angler in order to catch walleyes successfully small lures, live bait techniques are the key. But on the flip side sometimes those same fish, in particular the biggest ones that swim like nothing better than to chase down a heavily weighted spoon.
